The Android maker is now planning to enhance the functionality of this AI feature by enabling students to complete their homework. The new functionality in Cirlce to Search will provide students a step by step guide to solving a range of physics and math problems.

Google also stated that while Cirlce to Search is already available in over 100 million devices, it is planning to bring that experience to more devices. Whether the feature will remain exclusive to Google and Samsung devices or rollout to more OEMs in the future does remains to be seen.

2) Upgrade to Nano AI model:

Google announced on Tuesday that it is providing a major boost to Gemini Nano, it’s lightweight on-device AI model seen on Pixel and Samsung devices. 3) AI scam protection:

Google has confirmed that it will use the multimodal abilities of Gemini Nano to provide real-time alerts if it detects a pattern consistent with commonly associated scams.

The tech giant has confirmed that AI scam protection will be an opt-in feature, it will not be turned on by default and users will have to manually confirm their choice of using the new AI tool. Moreover, Google says the use of on-device AI will meant that the conversations remain private.

4) Gemini gets a bigger role on Android:

Google has confirmed that Gemini will now be able to understand and use the content on user’s screen to improve their experience. Gemini will soon get the ability to overlay on top of the existing apps in order to help which will provide the AI assistant with ability to answer questions related to current content on the device. For instance, users will have the option to ask Gemini questions about a particular video or drop AI generated images directly into Google Messages or Gmail.

5) New AI Assistant capabilities:

Google on Tuesday unveiled a new ‘seeing and talking’ AI agent under Project Astra. The new agent is built on Gemini and gives a glimpse at the company’s plans for a future AI assistant that can talk to users in real-time while running on their phone or Glasses.

In a video shared by Google, the new AI assistant can be seen identifying the purpose of a code, finding the user’s glasses, figure out its exact location by looking outside the window, and even find creative names for a dog with a mixture of visual and audio prompts.

Google says that some of Project Astra’s capabilties will be coming to Gemini app and web experience later this year.
